[QUOTE=ShocK,Nov 14 2007, 04:57 PM] The car was setup purely for Tsukuba, you cant expect the same setup to work at an entirely different track.

Right, but you'd think if they're already blowing 30+ g's on the thing, they'd re-gear it for each track. Assuming they did re-gear it, I'm wondering if it was something else.
i think its mostly due to suspension setup. I'm sure they'll come back prepared, you never know though, maybe some of their components aren't as good as they thought and maybe they need to take a few of them back to the drawing board. the gearing I was referring to was in the BMI video and the ASM car was not involved, just J's and Amuse, your post sounded like I confused the conversation, so just clearing that up if I did so

a thought just occurred to me. Regarding the "old" j's vs. old asm vs. old c-west, could there be a difference in tire size? The ASM has wide-fenders while the other two do not. The wide fenders and rear diffuser give the ASM the advantage, i guess.

J's runs 255 all around IIRC, Amuse was using 18" rims (which they regretted lol), 265's I think, forgot C-West's setup, I know they were using retarded camber setup like 3&4 degrees front and rear respectively.

Thank you!

It must be great being Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada or Nob Taniguchi and being able to drive all those entry cars around Tsukuba.

Damn, the Top Fuel 630 ps, 1030 kg S2k posted a 57:101 while the ASM S2k with 305 ps and 1300 kg posted a 57:488. Sounds like top fuel needs to check their setup or driver, unless the asm weight was a typo. 1300kg is almost stock.
