Default Front Bumper Replacement

First off, I dont know if this fits here, so if a moderator comes across it and thinks it belongs elsewhere, please take it - thanks.

Ok - terrible thing happened to me.

My jerk neighbor ran into my front bumper, its ruined. I cried.

However, there is a supposed light at the end of the tunnel. First, its just cosmetic, just the cover was damaged (whew). Second, I have the opportunity to replace it with either, the run of the mill.. stock.. normal front bumper. OR! Some sweet JDM front exclusive hotness!1@.

I don't know if I want to replace it with aftermarket yet, but I figured I would ask some opinions - see what people thought of their own aftermarket front ends that they owned or have had some experience with. Some of the info Im looking for is -

Fitment
Ease of install
Looks
Effectiveness of downforce (if noticeable)
Continuity with stock body lines.

And anything else of note would be greatly appreciated.

should be a good thread, hopefully some people can provide some good info and experiences.

i must say, AMUSE or ASM would be my choice if just replacing the front bumper.

good luck!

Aftermarket bumpers are more fragile than OEM...... my 2 cents after running an Amuse R1 front for two years......

See this is interesting, and the type of information I was looking for. Most people ( on here and my friends ) have recommended going with the R1. I was concerned about the life of the piece, it does have a great look though.

Mugen SS is the only 100% fitment bumper on the market. It looks good and provides downforce.

Honestly though, everyone is right when they said Amuse R1. Its the most stock looking bumper, but some of them just fit like crap I hear.
