how about HKS F-Con iS? they have full harness designed to work with AP1/AP2 ( i think not for 06) and it can read inputs from OBDII port for ECU data, and it doesn't cost alot more than e-manage ult.

Try getting someone to tune the HKS.

As athrized HKS tuners are the only one to get the software . The hand held programer is limited .

Not sure what year the thread starter is planing on buying but the Hondata is only good for 06 .

The -iS- is part of there PRO line . I am sure the are non authorized dealers with the software . Finding one you can trust and has knowledge is key authorized or not .

Cost is more HKS unit plus harness will cost you $1040

Greddy Ultimate w/boomslang harness $720

Might have to pick up a iS piece sometime to play with to compare . There is not a whole lot of info on the site on it .

Biggest problem I see with all systems is finding the right tuner . A real tuner should be able to tune any piece of equipment given he has the software . In the end all EMS's do the same thing with different features . The only thing to slow them down is getting familiar with the interface and software .

Our tuner has a special rate if it is something new to him and will only charge dyno rental and not charge you tuning time . That way you are not getting charged for him to get familiar with the software .

thanks for the information. I have experience tuning dc5 with cams with kpro so I guess I should able to tune ap2 with less things to tune. The only thing is I want to get one that give me as much information I want so I can pretty much street tune it and finalized it in the dyno for WOT tune.

I am having the e-Manage Ultimate installed by Twiztid and tuned by gilbertg. I thought my car deserved a little mid-life "kicker."

These guys have installed several of these units on both AP1 and AP2s. After watching their progress, it seemed to me that a piggyback ECU was the right approach for moderate gains in a stock engine (mine is completely stock).
