Default Header, Exhaust, EMS....

Im debating on 2 of the following 3 mods but can't decide. I am able to spend roughly $2500 and want to be sure I choose wisely. Below are what I feel are the best in their class, and my budget.

AEM EMS: $1000 - $1100
Tracy Sports Header: $900-$1000
ASM 70mm Exhaust: $1450

Im leaning towards the AEM EMS, and ASM 70mm exhaust system. Im thinking these will yield me the most WHP when it comes time to tune. I can only afford 2 of the 3, what would guys choose and why?

if your on a budget, i would buy a buddy club spec III exhaust for $500 and get the ems with header, will bring you right up to $2500.

later on when i have more money ill get the asm 70mm, sell my buddy club for around 375-425 shipped and have money left over for a pretty good intake.

Hmmm...not a big fan of BC Spec III exhaust systems. I could go T1R 63V2 which is $850 CDN though!

Anyone else?

I say buy the exhaust and EMS. I have the 70mm and love it EMS will be good down the road when you get more mods and will not be $$$ wasted.

Header = I would wait on and when you get the money together place an order for a hytech

why buy an exhaust and then sell it later . Me personally I hate buying the same things twice + you will be losing $$$ (even though I've had 4 exhausts ).

The EMS, Berk Header, and the T1R 70mm exhaust.

Top dollar everything isn't always the way to go man.

I would pick up the exhust and ems. Only because you'll drop ood amounts of weight from the exhaust, and great gains from the 70mm. then you'll be able to do good tuning with the ems for further gains. remember though that it's going to cost you a little more considering your going to have to take the car down to a tuner to tune the ems for you. up to you.

One thing you have to think about also is the cost of tuning the EMS. $1000 only pays for the EMS, expect to pay around $400 or more for a good tune.

An EMS is only as good as it's tuner.

But best gains would be EMS and 70mm. Leave the header for later. The OEM header is very well designed out of the box for the amount of gasses flowing through the head.

Why pay 1500 for an exhaust when you can spend 7 or 8 hundred on a used T1R?

You can find an EMS for under 1000. I just sold the 1012 unit AND frog harness (which is like 150 in itself) for 950 SHIPPED.

Get 4.77 gears with your remaining 1000.

There, I just made you a lot faster, and you can run with supercharged S2000s. Have fun.

Im currently already running 4.77 gears in my diff. As for exhaust, I like the fact that the ASM is not as loud as most 70mm exhaust systems IE: 70mm T1R. Although I have contemplated getting the T1R system, I am still undecided.
