Heavy audio equipment will slow you down just as much as a passenger or excess gas will so keep that in mind.

Honestly I would worry about getting the car first and then learning how to drive a RWD car. Very different than the FWD most kids are used to. A lot less forgiving. Anyway you can always do audio which is great. You can start there...
Good luck.

good luck man...

watch out though, some ppl are gonna flame you for the user name in your post

Regardless of what you think he is young and thats what kids are into these days. Thats a fact.. I personally dont have any audio equipment in the car besides the CD player. But thats me. If I was in my teens or early twenties, then yeah I would probably get a nice audio setup. Not everyone takes this car to the track, which a lot of you guys think is a requirement. It is not.

Don't know why anyone hasn't mentioned the T1R exhaust. It's well under $1000 even shipped, and it make the most power out of any other exhaust out there excluding J's 70RR. With T1R exhausts, you can pick between an awesome street set up 63mm, a sweet looking dual sparrow, or the race 70mm which will give you the most gains for the dollar. After that, I'd look into gears. Most people buy CF hoods for the look, the venting is a lot less cost effective than just buying a Hondata intake gasket, or mugen/spoon thermostat and other cooling mods. The only reason I'd buy a CF hood is to clear the J's intake. In which I'm actually probably just going to buy the full FRP J's Racing hood to take care of that task.

All that said, seat time and local AutoX's or racing/driving schools will give you the most gain for your money. Good luck and drive safe.

Speaking of autocross does anyone have some California contacts for a local s2k owner to get into this, or suggestions on where to look?
