Hood Won't Latch

Hood Won't Latch
The Cusco Radiator Cooling Plate installed just fine. Took out the metal bracket under the rubber and slid the plate in. I've tried readjusting the plate 5 times and still can't get the hood to latch 
. Can't figure out if it's hitting the plate anywhere or what needs to be further adjusted. Anybody have success installing one of these? Let me know what I need to adjust.
Thanks JsAP1, I just loosened the three bolts supporting the latch mechanism and pushed it up as high as it would go. Works better now than before I even started this install.

Most plates need adjusting. Why did you remove that metal plate? Out of the 6 radiator panels I have owned I have always left it. That being said I would put that metal plate back in and try again. If it still doesnt work adjust the hood latch portion thats attached to the car, not the one on the hood (just yet). Play with that. I had to for my ASM to fit and it took me about 20 mins to make it fit right. Good luck.
