You can make the same power with off the shelf parts as has recently been proven by some individuals in Socal on the same dyno.
After getting further investigation, I am giong to retract this statement.

A little more peak HP but 15 less peak TQ. It might have something to do with the cam gear tuning, but isn't the "same" no matter what.

just to let you guys know. at least on a restrictive log setup. i gained no power from switching out my ap2 cam for an ap1! I went back for a retune and i put my ap2 cam back in! Torque was basically the same, and power to redline didnt change. Even to 9k! WHen i put the ap2 back in i also got 3-4mpg increase in cruising! So thats a perk!

I think it's the same case with Endyn isn't it? He uses Hytech exhausts and claims they make custom cams, but I think you only get these if you get a complete engine build package.

he wont sell his parts together, separately, in a package or outside a package!!! you cant buy his PARTS at all! so why make an article about it???

What everyone seems to keep overlooking is that the F20/F22 is very advanced/tuned from the factory. It gets to be quite annoying hearing "I tried these cams and they make no power! Don't buy Toda/BC/Skunk2 etc."

John gets it. Spend the first 2 minutes talking with him and you'll know why. Outside the engine is certainly not as complicated as inside.

Only way to explain this is an equalateral triangle represents the engine stock. Add one shorter or longer side to the triangle and you get a right, isosceles, obtuse, etc.

All parts must be balanced. John will only sell the 1 side, if you buy the other 2. Very simple.

Which presents one very good question....

If you bought cams from the other guys + the other 2 sides would you make a better triangle than John's?
