Default Intake help please

Need a little advice. I have decided to go either cooling plate or snorkel with a new drop in air filter. Now it's just a question of which cooling plate or snorkel and which air filter.

Filter should be easiest, it's either the Spoon (or is it J's, can't remember) for $250 or the K&N for $50. Opinions?

As far as cooling plate, which one provides the best fitment with the stock box. I'm looking at Seibon, J's and AUT. If you think the cooling plates are lame and snorkels are better, why and which snorkel is best.

Ok hope that's clear.

Ive used J's cooling plate and its fits well. And you can use the cooilng plate with the snorkel.

If you are going to track your car snorkels may help. But i dont think you are going to see alot of gains.

If you are just trying to get a nice sound from the intake buy something like an Aem intake.

Wink

Just use the factory glide cut for the snorkel
The radiator plate is just bling IMO
I would also not waste the money on spoon filter and just go with K&N
Save the money on cooling plate and filter and go with a samco induction tube

Dynos will not show hp for the snorkel but I have a spoon and it with my K&N filter

Yeah the other option I'm looking at is the induction tube. This give any gains?

I don't think there are any charts
But S2X is about to have a group buy for a carbon fiber induction tube with a larger diameter than the samco

spoon filter is a sponge filter and the k & n is fabric, so you need to figure out what you want. honestly, their all going to make the same power so your better of with the k/n.

as for cooling plates, go with the j's.

^^^ Do the Fabric filter and Sponge filter Flow the same? I like the Spoon drop in filter, but its mostly a bling mod compared to the k&N. Im also looking to buy the Samco elbow to replace the baffled looking stock tube.

Also what CP works the best(Fitment) with the Spoon Snorkel??

Personally when I used the spoon filter I did not like it it is a WAY overpriced foam element nothing special at all. They will all work about the same so buy the one that is re-usable and cheaper

I say snorkal and K&N filter

or K&N FIPK Kit (even though you did not list it )

Only good thing about the Spoon snorkel is cleaning...... just hose it off with water

I sold mine because it seemed to let some debri pass through...... replaced it with a K&N.
