Default Air box, intake, radiator plate.

I recently bought a KN filter for my box, did great wonders over my dirty one. About a 3-4mpg difference and noticeable power. I saw where passwordjdm makes a airbox cover that looks sick. Except it's like 250 buks, almost the same as a comptech. Do they make an aftermarket tube for the stock box?

Next question is about cooling plates/snorkels.
Do cooling plates actually work in making the radiator more efficient or just hype and cosmetics? Am I better off getting a snorkel and a plate or a plate that incorporates a snorkel into it, and recommendations would be great.

Thanks guys.

Your filter must have been nearly clogged altogether if you had a 3-4mpg increase with a K&N. I felt nothing when I put a velocity stack and K&N in my OEM box and my OEM filter was very dirty.
