I think you have all got distracted from the true dynamics of ITB's with a bit of CF bling
I think many are trying to find a way to filter the air going into the ITBs. So far the testing done has shown that the sock type filters fitting on the velocity stacks robs enough power to make the ITBs no better than the single throttle body.

The theoretical solution is simple - reduce the velocity of the intake air to as slow as possible in order to reduce turbulence from filtration.

Practically, not so easy, but then everyone knew that

Filtration must be done as far away from the butterflies as possible with as big a CSA as possible using a thin layer of foam.

I have an idea, but I think you'd run out of space.

Adding a plenum is a waste of time unless you are going for a proper ram air system.

Worse still think of the turbulence you will get from having stacks inside it!

And also think that if you ran that type of plenum, you could get away with 1 butterfly instead of 4.

You are slowly returing to the original inlet manifold design.

The idea behind that plenum is that you can run it with a Mugen/J's/ASM air intake which is sealed and I guess also slightly pressurised at speed.

BMW have been running these setups for years.

Open ITB's are better no doubt but not great for a DD.

Heres the site. Kinda long but real informative. Maybe help gives us some ideas to make one.

Which is negated the benfit if the ITB's in the first place

I think you'd bu much better of designing a non ITB'ed item that flowed really well, if you are after DD.

I doubt it, I guess the peak power will be about the same but the mid range with the ITB's would be much better.

I'd rather have ITB's in a plenum for a DD, bit different and hopefully more power than a normal plenum.
