Thanks but I'm not talking about the rear tie bar (I heard Spoon's rear tie bar sucks too, and doesn't really add any noticable support), I'm talking about the rear lower brace. There is one there from the factory (where the heat shield for the charcol box bolts onto, it bolts into the chassis with 4 14mm bolts) but the factory one is not very rigid anyway.

Either way, I'm really just considering buying the lower rear brace for fitment issues, and to have the piece of mind that there is a lower rear chassis brace in place. I had a Beatrush bar planned, but I don't think it will fit with the exhaust so I'm wondering if there are any rear braces that come spaced lower ... I know that it's probably a dead end though.

For reference as to what type of brace I'm talking about, follow this link:

they make shorter exhaust hanger rubber things. so it will lift it up.

Sounds good ... it doesn't look like there is any room to lift up this exhaust -- anybody had any experience with shorter hangers on this (or similar exhaust) for the S2000?

Mine cleared fine... by inches actually.

never heard of this problem.

the hanger has been know to vibrate but this is easily fixed by sleaving it w/ a short section of rubber tubing (see arrow) I just cut a section off an airhose -- which is thick rubber and fiber reinforced

plus my resonator is not even close to the lower bar... (see circle)

So it seems Honda is as much to fault as J's. Every car is semi-hand built and unique - right?

Thanks slackfaster, but I think you have the FX version -- my resonator is positioned right over that lower bar. Unless J's is just crazy like that and they decide to weld resonators in different places on different exhausts ... anyway, I'm going to have to take some pics so in the next couple days hopefully I can shed some light on what I'm talking about.

Worst comes to worst just have an exhaust shop cut the hanger and make it shorter. It shouldnt hang that low anyways.

I had a lot off issues with the older 60RS hitting against the bracket which holds the lower bar on the subframe so basically, just grind off a little on that bracket to make more clearance between it and your problem will go away.

If you need any help, just PM me
