Default J's 60RS or Toda

*sigh*

I absolutely hate these "what should I buy" threads. But I thought I'd solicit some opinions from you all.

I'm open to other suggestions, but I've narrowed it down to these two because I like how they both look (I'm a fan of the blue dolphin tip apparently). But hey, change my mind!

I'm looking in this order for: Sound, Looks, Performance/Weight.

Fire away, and thanks in advance.

Oh, and I already feel pretty stupid about considering a $1.4k exhaust, so all suggestions for Amuse will be noted, and dismissed unless you want to help me fund

Yes, the Toda is a dual.

I've heard that the Toda is a rip-off (copy) of the Mugen for the AP1. Can anyone confirm or deny this? They look very similar.

I have heard the J's in person and it's pretty hard to compare it to anything else out there... but it sounds awsome, not to loud but not to quiet, doesn't drone. And I'm not the biggest fan of the dolphin tips either but ironically I'm looking to buy the J's Dual (check my sig ). I heard it gained somewhere around 11rwhp with a test pipe and ways less than 20lbs.

Now I am going on strictly of what I have heard from other members and threads about the exhaust! So somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't really know anything about the Toda so somebody else chime in there!!

If you are referring to the J's 60RR (single) It is a great exhaust weighs about 10lbs. is pretty quiet. Almost too quiet until WOT. A dual version would probably even be quieter No drone or anything. 70RR does not have a resonator and will be much louder.

I have the Toda on my car and love it it is the fourth exhaust I have had on this car and it will be the last. weight is about 28lbs. about half the weight of the stock AP2 unit. The Toda is comparable in sound to the Mugen and a little louder than the 60RR. No drone and nowhere near as loud as the JIC Ti (single) or Invidia dual that I had before.

The J's single will make more power and shed more weight, but both are great exhaust systems. I don't think you will be unhappy with either product.

I like duals better on AP2's, but with an AP1 I would probably go with the 60RR (J's)

^^Great response, thanks very much.

Are you saying that the Toda (dual) is louder than the J's 60RS (single)?

So what was the order of the 4 exhausts you had on your AP2?

1._____

2._____

3._____

4. Toda

hey,, u r looking for performance/weight,, then why u r considering a dual exhaust (toda) ?! ```

i used the 63mm t1r (single) and the fuji (dual) .. there is no comparison between the two performance wise,, the t1r was way much much more better,, and not to forget lighter,, i'm not saying get the t1r, i'm just trying to convince you that a single is the way to go

i just ordered the 60rs and will tell you how i find it .. i heard that it's quieter than the t1r which was the quietest single exhaust available for the s2000 as i know (^_^) ```
