J's offset and j's brakes question

While this is true, most of the above kits were still in production and not available to the general public here or Japan, thus the OEM calipers and racepads.. I remember asking Endless Japan that question in 2001..

A valid point though...

No they don't. They only make them in red colour. The pads that J's Racing used with their calipers are Seido-ya and I have been using them for the entire 2005 street/track and imo, they are better than Endless CCR cuz the Seido-ya has less squeek, duct and stopping power.

For the Brembo vs Stoptech guys, I must say that if I wasnt building my S into J's Racing, I would definetely go for Stoptechs.

I think there is a reason the ASM S2k uses the 6 pot Endless system...

non-Japanese brakes as well as non-Japanses suspension (sachs)
Correct, and I believe AP is owned by Brembo. I wonder if the AP calipers ASM is using are one of Brembo's Race calipers not sold to the public.
Another thing to consider that no one has really touched on. A BBK (the lower end models especially) can't stop as short as OEM because of the added weight of the caliper and rotor. Obviously the higher end (Alcon, Brembo "Race", Endless) kits are usually made of lighter materials that are forged so this isn't an issue. I'm fairly sure that all Brembo GT kit's are heavier than the OEM kits they replace for almost all applications. This is one reason why Brembo and I'm sure other companies, have put so much development in their racing programs for Ceramic, Titanium, Carbon based materials used in their components.
Another side note, Both Ferrari F1 and ASM use Brembo based brakes and Sachs suspension as c17r15 said.

i didn't know AP had any affliation with brembo.....i thought it was Germany based..AP lockheed or something.
ASM's AP 6 pot is available for sale to the public........pretty sure at a premium compared to if you purchase directly from AP.

It'd be interesting to see the ASM AP calipers next to some Brembo Calipers.

You'll see in this table, AP Racing is on the top left at 100%. So I guess it's true.
