Default j's racing fender/rear fender questions.

i see the rear fenders listed at 20-25mm wider. and the front fenders being listed at 40mm wider.

question is.. .is the front 20mm wider per side, for a total of 40?

also, on the rear fenders, the picture on aj racing doesnt look like they allow much wider fitments.

it looks like its wider, but there's a lip on the bottom that follows with the width looking like it would rub upon suspension compression.

anyone have these installed functionally?

trying to clear 17x8+30F, 17x9.5+37R btw.

The idea of the rear over fenders is that you cut away the existing metal fender at the top of the tire. Then put the over fender on and you've got 10-25mm extra clearance.

just tacking them on wont give you extra clearance - the existing lip will still be in the way.

yes i realize that, but if you take a moment to look at that picture, you can see that the existing lip is not the lip i'm talking about, in that picture it looks like the j's overfender has its own lip, and thats the one i'm refering too.

The rear over fender is about 15mm wider. We have tried fitting 17*9 +35 offset and basically it will clear but you have to cut partial of the bumper off and grind off some stick out points to make it to work.

So do you think you could fit 17x9 +40 in the rear with those overfenders without cutting the bumper?

if you can fit a +35 you'd be able to fit +40 no problem.
