Default J's Racing Header + Fujitsubo Exhaust

Hi guys

Im actually contemplating on whether I should get the following combination for my car:

1. Fujitsubo Exhaust and Header
2. J's Racing Header and Fujitsubo Exhaust

I would feel that the fujitsubo exhaust and Header along with my custom decat would complement each other very well due to similar piping sizes etc but there isnt much information on the fuji header in the forums

But I have great things about the J's Header and was really contemplating on a single but I do not want a loud single exhaust.

Just wondering if the two products (J's and Fuji) complement each other.

Thanks!

I tried the fuji extractor and exhaust combination on my friend's s2000 in Japan. I felt all this extra power and wanted to get them for my car but wrote it off before that happened.

He told me though that there was essentially no gain in power except a slightly better midrange and that the perceived extra power was due to better octane petrol they use in Japan and the noise generated by the mugen intake.

He also said that he was the only one who had a fuji exhaust at all the s2k gatherings he's attended. Most people go for the single, supposedly high power J's and Amuse because they feel it's in keeping with the car's intent.

I don't know if this helps though. LOL

BTW I thought you could do away with your cat in NZ?

The J's Header does tend to give the best gains. The fujitsubo exhaust, if you mean the more subtle models, are generally conservative on gains. You could run the J's Header with a 60RS, and still have a reasonable volume level, and it doesnt drone loud at cruising speeds. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I agree, best advice from J's Racing

The Fuji has smaller diameter piping than the J's header, and is a dual, so you are essentially speeding up the exhuast gas with the J's header and then slowing it down again with the exhaust -- I run a J's 60RS and it is SUPER QUIET, sounds like stock 90% of the time.

Hi

So would a dual 60rs be more quieter?

Any pics of the single on your car?

Thanks for the advice!

That is a poor quality video of him redlining the car inside a tunnel, that's a stupid comparison.

The wind noise is almost as loud as the exhaust. But, I said 90% of the time it sounds almost like stock (which it does) because when it hits V-TEC it opens up, but still is not nearly as loud as most other singles.

Anyway, here are some pics of my exhaust for comparison -- note that the color is normally the original color, a bluish-purple. The tip turned green from the previous owner racing the car constantly (and thus running race gas), FYI the exhaust on the J's Racing race car is the exact same color green and burn pattern.
