J's Racing Products
I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong forum. I am new and haven't gotten a good feel for the layout of this forum yet.
Anyways, I am a member of a couple other forums and I often hear people hyping J's Racing products. I went to the website for J's Racing and found all kinds of parts for S2Ks. They are awfully expensive, but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. I have no problem paying for quality, so long as the quality can be validated.
So, is it worth modifying an S2K with J's Racing products?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I think it all depends on what you want to achieve with your S2K. If you want a race ready look, or you actually track your car, then J's Racing has a wide variety of functional parts that have that cool, racey look that is so popular among Japanese cars. However a single outlet J's exhaust may be too loud for your tastes, especially if the car is your daily driver. Are they worth the money? Hhmmm.... that is a very "matter-of-opinion" question... I do n ot own any J's products, but I think they are worth the dough. They are very high quality... and in a world where many competition parts are questionable in the looks department I think J's Racing products are hot! Hope that helps.

J's makes a dual titanium exhaust that I may be interested in getting. I will be using the car as a daily driver, as well as autocrossing and drag racing it. Eventually I will run boost, but prior to that I will run some simple bolt-ons.
Most full titanium exhausts are high priced because they are titanium. J's is actually cheaper than other's (Amuse, ARC, etc.)
For the most common bolt on's I'd say J's Racing products are fairly priced.
On the other hand, some of their "hardcore" parts I feel are overpriced. I think they can charge that much because they are one of the few companies that makes them.

Hello...can you please post your mods? I looked at your profile but didn't see any listed.
OEM Front lip
Backyard Special spoiler
Spoon blue convex mirror
Keyhole plugs
OEM Hardtop (sold)
OEM Ti shift knob
Muz mats
On-the-go top-down mod

J's cooling plate
Tein hood dampers
K&N replacement filter (yet to install, might get FIPK instead)
Tein Flex with EDFC (yet to install waiting for my wheels)
Sparco Rev bucket seat (yet to install waiting for rails)
I might have missed something but thats it for now
J's Racing Products are of extremely high quality. I have never been dissapointed by anything that I have owned of theirs.
Currently I think the only J's part I have on our demo car right now is the Type V hood (LOVE it) but that could change for next season. In the past I have hat their type S carbon hood and front half lip.
Most of the J's parts however are built for the track. If you just like that look and don't track your car, more power to you, just make sure you know that a lot of the price you're paying for is for the R&D that they put into their race program that allows them to sell these parts to begin with (along with shipping from Japan and customs duties)
J's is very much worth it in my opinion.
Oh and PS> The process of outsourcing the manufacture of parts isn't anything new (in reference to the comment about the gears). Some of the price markup is J's trying to make a profit (weren't they the first ones to even do the swaps? so that was R&D right there, so who can fault them?), some of it is that their kits also include reinforced bolts (maybe not a HUGE cost, but still extra cost and R&D), and some of the markup is in shipping from japan
I don't fault them for the gears at all (hell they outsource the manufacture of their hoods to First Moulding and I don't fault them for that either).
