Default jdm recaro seats

whats up, im asking this for a friend of mine who has some jdm dc5-r recaro seats and was wondering if they would fit in his s2k?

i dont think the dc5 rails will bolt up so is it possible to put the recaro's on the s2k oem rails?

if not whats my best bet at putting these in?

Generally any Type R seat might now fit the S2000 with the exception of the NSX R bucket seat. They are too fat if I recall correctly and you dont want to spend $8000 on an OEM (stock) Type R NSX seat either when our insurance company quotes us $7000+ for S2000 OEM seats. Go figure.

from what i've heard, they do actually fit, just..... but you may need to either remove the reclining knob or get a slim line version from recaro...

i've just ordered a set of bride seat rails, will try to fit my set of dc5r seats into my MY05.. will let you know how it goes....

ok.. just fit mine... and yes .. it goes in

basically you will NEED TO REMOVE THE RECLINING KNOB, if you must have it then you can try and get a slim one, recaro makes a slim replacment, or you can also get an aluminium alloy one from naniwaya in japan http://www.seatrail.jp/option/option_dial.htm

you will also NEED to grind down the reclinign pole about 6mm, just use an angle grinder etc... and that owuld give you good clearance to push the seat back

the rail i used is BRIDE RO type for AP1 ... center console opens fine, it's just touching the outer sides of the seats against the car.... about 1mm clearance really.... on the inside it's touching the center console... but it's no big deal..

Those seats are huge, but why on earth would you want to put Integra/Civic seats in an S2000/NSX? Just doesnt make sense. But hey its your money and your taste. To each his own.
