both of those look like awsome pieces. are they really worth the price tho?

if you put one of these on an S with no other suspension work besides coilovers how will this affect the handling? more oversteer? im just trying to figure out the true benefits of it.

I was wondering the same thing...apparently, the 2004-up rear subframes are "better" than earlier versions somehow...and these pieces from JUN and J's take it a few steps further...can somebody explain this? I can't seem to find any info on why they're that much better, aside from supposed reinforcements.

Thats the only reason why they are better and the reinforcements arent supposed. Do you see the "X" brace welded in the front of the Jun model but not in the J's racing model? Little things like that (among many extra additional support braces) really do help the car handle better. Opera performance did a piece in a Hyper Rev issue and explained the whole process but I didnt understand since I couldnt read the language.

i wonder if they used an ap1 or ap2 donor. Doesnt seem like pick-up points are altered.

I don't see why the hell you would want to buy these? Couldn't you just have about any roll cage/chassis building shop weld in reinforcements on your OEM subframe for about $400-600, and probably have an overall better product?

If Elda use to sell a complete bolt in from scratch roll bar, don't you think they could reinforce your stock subframe?

i really doubt they are building these to sell a lot of them.

it isn't really just a part to put on your car if you have the money, which is a huge majority of car enthusiasts in the US.

i can say this again and again, these shops actually know and have experience with this car, they know what they are doing because they actually have focus as a shop, unlike every damn company in the us, selling the same damn parts for every car they possibly can.

having some random shop randomly reinforce your subframe of course is possible, will it be the same? highly doubtful, unless that shop has more experience than JUN or J's or ASM or Spoon, etc.

of course this is expensive, how much do you think an new rear subframe from Honda costs? no company making parts for cars has to make the price good, this is a specialized enthusiast market and companies can sell parts for how ever much they want, accept that and be happier.

the bottom line is, the companies selling these have more experience than basically any shop in the US with this car, if you don't believe that then never mind everything I have said. if you lived in Japan I'm sure you could take your car to these shops and have them work on the stock sub frame, who knows, but the point is, yes you can accomplish the same idea at any place with a welder and some metal. is it ever going to be similar to this? doubtful.
