so u wanna swap a V6 into an s2000?

why not just put an LS engine?

Not saying that I would do it, but it's probably easier than swapping a transverse FWD engine into a rwd car.
that way it stays with a honda engine. A little less of a bastard child. You cant deny that having a powerful high revving all honda v6 under the hood wouldnt be nasty. Especially with some ITBs and perhaps some custom cams/headwork to raise the redline to 8k

GrandMasterKhan , thanks for enlightneing me, its refreshing to find someone on here with conversational etiquette.

The V6 idea is intersting to me but I have to ask why not a C32B from the NA2? At first I was a little put off by the idea since the V6 is kind of NSX territory, but then I thgought about the fact that the new NSX will have V8 possiblyV10 power. I wonder how heavy the TL or NSX engines are though?

I think the RDX motor was appealing to me due to the fact that it features increased displacement over the F engines, albeit by 100cc's, and is boosted from the factory, packing some 100lb.ft more of tq. than an F engine without any mods.

I am very interested in the idea of a small and efficient turbo on the F20, even if it only realized 20-40 more peak hp but could spool hard by the 4K mark, it would be major a benefit on the track. I first thought of a CT26 off of an MR2 or celica alltrac...something with extremely fast response that couldnt hold much boost past say 7K, just something that would come on really strong early to "help" accelerate the cams into high lift mode.

A Shorter final drives appeal to me too, but there is always a sacrafice to be made with them, ie. small increase in ratio = not enough diffrence from 4.10 or too much = 5K rpm at 60mph in top gear .

Either way, thanks for indulging my questions/ideas.

I vaguely remember hearing a critical reason why the SR (in particular) would be extraordinarily difficult.

Hopefully someone here will know why, or correct me.

Dat Boi,
What bumper is that?
Looks like ap1 with molded over brake ducts...

I agree with s/c or t/c f20/22 would be way easier/ more cost effective vs. any other honda engine swap.

I thought about an NSX motor. But thats a premium engine. It would be much cheaper to do a TL swap since they a dime a dozen. If we had a civic or RSX or whatever FWD honda it would probably be a far better benefit for them to look into an RDX swap. Imagine an RSX with an RDX motor. They both are K motors how hard could it be?

But in the honda world, i mean how hard is it really for us to boost and make great power? But is easier to just slap a s/c and call it a day. Hell my car should make about 370whp and 240tq. And believe me when your running through the gears you'll never be below 5k and never not have enough TQ and HP to pull hard to redline.

The benefit of the lower redline and TQ from the RDX motor is more so for moving soccer moms around than being a track beast. IMO. You dont have to have gobs of TQ @ idle if you make great power with a highredline and take advantage of gearing.

If you want masses of torque, swap your gearbox.

Not getting the acceleration you want at 3000rpm in 6th?

Well then change down 3 gears!

Personally, I don't find it at all difficult to rev the nuts off the engine and change gear very fast to start the process over again.

The F20C is a masterpiece and is the only engine i'd ever have in the S.

If you want more POWER (Because lets face it, torque figures don't mean much), then i'd highly reccommend an S/C.

That way you keep the N/A like response and gain a load of power accross the rev range.

You also keep the nice compact dimensions of the engine

I have been pondering an C32 swap for the longest time... anyone look into it ever? anyone ever do it? ... Same goes for the TL type S v6 we should get a thread goin on something like this with some real information I think there are enough people interested.

quick side note:

The rsx with MDX drivetrain is just insanity waiting to happen... RSX's are fast as it is, iamgine them with AWD and a boosted K24/k20, now that is just NUTS! haha. ...Especially since the RSX and RDX share alota the same components.

How about just stroke it? That'll give the torque a bump and if you add a modestly sized turbo, will give quick response. Just a thought.

What about the NSX motor swap? Anyone ever look into it?
