I can't believe that someone went through the trouble to make a knockoff mugen front lip and didn't produce it in polyurethane instead of frp. That would be a big selling point for us northeast folks.

 

Nope just installed a real mugen on a customers car and its white.

Real = white
Fake = Black

 

Ive never seen a real one in Black frp (all four I've seen were white)

Not saying its fake just just talking from personal experience.

EDIT... Just spoke to King, they do come both black and white. I was under assumption all of them come white but I guess later versions do come black primer also.

Most likely, it will be real. test fit before you buy. The real one fits near perfectly

 

Ask for either: packing slip from Mugen, packing slip from King Motorsports, the Mugen box itself, or the instruction manual from Mugen (if it's in english, that's definitely fake then).

 

We live in a world where anyone will knock off anything as long as there is a market for it, fake rims, fake bodykits, fake lips, fake hardtops, fake anything imaginable...must be pretty easy to knock stuff off then if people are always doing it. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

 

I would prefer a replicated polyurethane version of the splitter than a fiberglass-may crack on you at any moment authentic Mugen splitter.
