Hi,

I was just wondering what I should look for in determining whether an AP2 Mugen lip is authentic or replica. I found someone selling a lip locally, he says it is authentic but has no receipt. He seems like a stand up guy, but I just want to be sure and do my own research.

The lip is unpainted and is new in box. The box is a Mugen box and has all the mugen stuff on it like shipping No., Made in Japan, Case No. 51, etc... It has the part name (S2000 Front Wing) and Part No. as well. This looks like it is a legit mugen box that you would expect from Mugen, but the lip could have just been shipped in an "authentic" box.

The lip itself is unpainted and is black and has 6 holes pre drilled.

All (brand new) Mugen lip/spoiler that I've come across are white FRP.

Here we go again.
Some have said that some Mugen lips came in black but I don't believe it.
Mugen uses white gel coat on everything and every lip I've seen that has come out of a sealed Mugen box has been white like the picture posted above.

In the picture, is that the mounting hardware that comes with the lip?

That's a "half bumper" not a lip
