Default Mugen Hardtop assembly

I just got my new Mugen HT back from the body shop nice and painted. Now I have to put this thing together. The assembly doesn't look too bad with the exception of the back window and the rope thing. Does any one have the instructions in english for this?

if you mean how to install the catchers/strikers etc use the regular instructions for a hardtop. Not sure what rope thing you are talking about. If you bought it new from King Motorsports or an authorized dealer call up King, I am sure they will help. Otherwise it should be pretty straight-forward.

Yes I bought the top from King. The rope is used to install the rear window somehow. That is the best I can tell from the pictures.

The hardware and weather stripping looks pretty easy...

This rope that you speak of, is it the wether seal or window molding?

The rope thing isn't as bad as it looks. Just make sure before you do it, the hardtop is on your car because you're gonna need two guys (including yourself) to do the window install and it requires alot of pushing in from the outside.

1)Wrap the rope around the window frame the way it shows it in the instructions. You have to put the rope deep into the seal so that it will stay around the window. You'll know if you did it right because if you don't, the rope will just fall off when you try to put the window on.

2)Have the second guy from the outside, push the window in from the bottom center. This is also the same location as where you're going to be tugging from the inside.

3)Tug from the inside while the person outside is pushing.

4)The person pushing from the outside should push where the rope is being pulled around the window frame until the window is in.

Good luck!
