Anybody have the rick's header on an ap1 w/tuning?
The gains look good on it, and it re-uses the stock heatsheild. But it is supposed to stop making power at 7600rpms ( pre-tuning ).
I have a well tuned ap1 from a emanage ultimate, FIPK intake, Berk's high flow cat, and invidia 70mm exhaust. I was at 231hp on church's dyno ( ap2s dyno around 235 stock ) before the 70mm exhaust.
I'm thinking with the Rick's header and a retune I should break 240, but also be able to make power past 7600rpms.

^^ Nice gains and you still have the stock exhaust
I currently have the Mugen AP2 Exhuast, Mugen Replica Intake, and looking to get a header and HFC to go with the setup. With the right header and EMS I'm wondering if I will get at least the same power as you.
Still deciding on what header to go with....

Dyno printouts to come.........242rhp...175 lbs tq =)
Not bad for just a V2/tespipe/header/EMS/stock exhaust!
Gained about 20 mid range........

how long did you tune it?
I guess your key drivers are are the TP & EMS, not so much the header

The header allowed me to lower vtec to 3800 rpm's..
Go ahead and get the ems/testpipe and see if you make more without the header...

oh..and the 70mm exhaust i listed is a single...so i think those numbers are very attainable.
