^ that's pretty cool. do you manufacture/repair commercial, civilian, or military jet engines? and what company do you work for?
I'm in the Air Force and typically just replace these items when they wear out or show signs of cracking. All jet engines need a compressor, diffuser, turbine, gearbox, etc and the proper items to monitor these things and this is just a fine example of what I work with on a daily basis at times.

that's awesome...i've always been interested in the mechanics of all sorts of jet engines (turbo fans, turbo jets, ram jets, scram jets, etc.). your job would make for quite the learning experience for a novice like me.
I'm getting up there in my years, but if you're young and wish to work with planes and the engines then obviously the AF is the way to go, but the Navy and Marines have some as well. I used to work on A10's back in Arizona and that was a sweet plane, now its C130's and the good ole' turboprops.
I wish I had more time to take photos of these wonderful bumpers, but we got 2 R1 Front Bumpers in our container today. Man these things are nice, and as always, they're packaged so nicely! I think I am going to have to start taking photos of some of the packing jobs these companies do and make a thread "JDM Packing" haha.
