Default Project 12 Second N/A

So my goal for this track season is to get into the 12's N/A. Meaning no NOS either =P. Has anyone gone into the 12's N/A yet? Last year, I ran a 13.633 at 101.9 with an Invidia Exhaust and undersized 225's Nexens. Do you guys think the following will get me into the 12's. Note this is a 2000.

1. Single Exhaust
2. Drag Radials
3. Gears
4. E-manage Blue tunning.

Is there anything else I should add to this list?

It can be possible. You might want to add headers and an intake for the extra tuning capabilities. Gears.. you'll probably most likely need 4.77's and be able to shift really fast. Maybe a clutch/flywheel ... 13.6 is REALLY GOOD for almost stock..

I think that giant radiator in your sig will def. help you in hitting 12's!

I beleive S2000nVegas and his stock/magical S has gone 12 sec many many times although no human being has seen it either in person or video. Check street encounters for more info.

Get a 70mm single, gut your trunk, and take out the passenger seat, door panels, and radio/speakers. Make sure you tune aggressively and use drag radials. 4.57 gears will be best for 1/4 mile. You need to launch like a madman and keep a 2.0 60' and shift like you're trying to break the transmission.

You'll be close

I agree. If you plan on launching a lot with drag radials, I'd start looking around for which new clutch you want and while you are at it a lighter flywheel. Weight reduction, drag radials, the most aggressive single exhaust, and tuning is what you need. The other mods, like a header, are going to be more for weight reduction than power IMO, unless it's a very good unit like a Hytech. TP will give you a few up top, and I agree, 4.57's are best if you are fixated at 1/4 times.

ITB's will shed about 60 lbs from under the hood and add about 45-50 hp in the midrange...good for it's share in tenths off the quarter...

Plus they're the ultimate in N/A tuning

You will spend close to 5grand to go to a corret Itb setup. That would be like Itbs,Ems,Tuning. As far as drag racing, your diff wont like you. Lesson learned thats the way mine went and its never seen the strip since. Put your car on itbs with a good tune and you will love your car on the track. Get a Nice lsd and you are there with a solid setup.
