Honestly it would be much cheaper to just sell your car and import a RHD S2000 from Japan -- you can import one for about $25000 in good condition with VGS, and have a super-exclusive S2000. It would not be hard to register at the DMV, it would just be a PITA to drive.

I would just import a RHD car for an arm and a leg. Then I would call up mr. reality check and ask yourself why the hell you would want to spend that money to make your car RHD. Must really be nice shifting with your left hand, not be able to see when making a left and turn and there is a car in the lane across from you, and registering it with the DMV, but i'm sure there is a downside to doing the conversion also.

BTW, this is the wrong forum to post this in.
I agree. RHD is over-rated I have 4 friends with rhd cars and other people really dont notice all that much (2 rhd EG's + 2 rhd ITR's). The only people that notice is other tuners and car people and of course the police. Most of joe public could care less about RHD.

I have driven most of them from time to time and its a pain in the @$$. Shifting is not that big a deal (you get used to it). Making a left on a stale green with opposing traffic is damn near impossible unless you have a passenger. When you get pulled over most cops think its illegal even if you have pink slip and registration (they think its grey market and can tow it until you prove its legit and they release it). If you modify the car enough to convert it RHD and get in an accident you insurance company can void the policy and decide not to cover you.

Now if its an R34 Skyline or an NSX R hen it is worth the hassle , but for the lesser cars I just dont see the point.

If you do decide to do it I wish you the best of luck , but it could easily turn into a started project that never gets completed.

Quick question, to swap over the ebrake to the left side, do you need to change the ebrake cable also? Or just get the rhd center console.

In most cars the e-brake stays in the same place, rhd or lhd.

definately not worth it, especially if you have those NCCA judges looking at your car. they don't really know much.

if i could register a rhd s2000 in california for an affordable price, i wouldve already done it.

if you dont live in california and you can register a rhd, i would just buy a real one.

buying the car isnt the problem for me, its getting it legalized where i wouldnt get hassled everyday

Why not take a vacation to England or Japan and rent a car? Seems a lot cheaper than doing a conversion + the hassles.
