Default Should I get 4.77's ?

Sup homies...

Im looking for another mod that I can do that will help me off the line and at rolling.....

i have I/H/E/TP and a crappy tune with a VAFC II...soon to be changed to aem ems....

But for right now I have a friend who is offering me a deal for his gears that are too good for me to let down.

I was wondering where would my car stand with 4.77s?
Is this a mod that will help from 0-100 exponetially ?

Thanks for you help guys

Its going to help acceleration throughout, top speed is only 142(by turnzero)
On a stock car its about a .5 second faster in the quarter, so I'm told.

With the 4.77s you will be in VTEC range while cruising in 6th.

Again by turnzero @ 80mph you are cruising at an rpm of 5000. I have yet to correct my speedo, in sixth gear at 5k rpms my speedo read 92mph heh.

I guess he cruises at 95+mph Do your HW next time.

Here is the calculator if you want it.

http://www.turnzero.com/technical_resource...gear_calculator

Just type in 4.777 for axle ratio the only slight downside to 4.77's is you have to shift before 60mph into third. So it hurts your 0-60 by the amount of time it takes you to shift. And again top speed is 142mph, I can live with that.

My math was off but go out and red line your Ap1 in 3rd... it should be a little higher than what they say.
