Spoon ECU

Default Spoon ECU

Hi chaps,

I'm debating to get a spoon ECU, its secondhand and im leaning towards it and i dont have lots of

I doubt it's dangerous for your car. But to maximize the ECU's potential, I think you would need their cooling mods + header. If it's like the Mugen ECU, it'll probably disable the immobilizer.

get a 02-03 ecu and save your money.

what are the benifits of a an 02-03? i have an 01...

the 02-03 ecu leans out the a/f (00-01's are known to run rich) and gives (unsubstantiated) gains of 5-10 whp

I had an authentic Spoon ECU in my accord with an Accord Sir H22a in it. I could tell a difference and I had I/e/h. I sold it with the car and a friend parted it and built a hatch out of my car and he swore by the fact that it made gains with little bolt ons. it removed the speed limiter and rev limiter so be prepared for that one. No safety if you over rev.

I agree, get an 02-03 ecu

Thats not much use is it?, thats for an accord.

And the rev limited and is not removed on the spoon ECU

If you dont plan on getting the full supporting mods like header and exhaust, I would say dont bother wasting your money. The 02+ factory ECU thats other's recommend would be a better choice.
