spoon n1 or buddy club spec 4
hi all,
im looking to buy an exhaust. i really wanted the t1r 70 for the gains, but shipping is too much from the states to the uk so doesnt look as though il be having 1 of those unless i can find a used 1 at a good price to keep costs down.
i can get both buddy club spec 4 and spoon n1 shipped from japan for a really good price, less than half the cost that we pay in the uk.
what i want to know is, does anyone have any dyno numbers on these systems? which will give most power, best weight savings? ive heard the n1 is damm loud and the bc4 is quiet and jasma certified, under 95db and 65mm id pipe?? which wouldnt be a bad thing.
what size pipe do they use etc???
if you have got any good ideas for gains, weight savings, let me know
any help and opinions expressed will be greatly appreciated
cheers

There is a thread in this forum about hitting 230whp NA, the guy who started that thread is running a Spoon N1 exhaust and if you follow it you can see what his gains were (he is also running a test pipe). The Buddy Club exhaust's piping is a little bigger, but the fact that it's so quiet makes me wonder if it flows more than the Spoon N1 (like you said very loud).

@6k 105db no Bung, 93.8db with Bung not excessive for a single exit the stock car is 91.4db
The system follows flow characteristics of the car so at 6k + it sounds like a bike below that its sounds normal.

the spec 4 exhaust, you will regret if you get it. it has the shittiest exhaust sound that i ever heard. if you get it, make sure you don't use a test pipe with it cuz it will make the sound even worse.
spoon n1 sounded a lot better but if you are hard on it then in a year time or less the sound will change. this exhaust drones so much which i headache with it.
T1R is loud but sound is much deeper like deep bass so the drone will not be as annoying as the spoon.
just my 0.2 cents.
good luck
