Default Spoon snorkle

since the stock intake system is near perfect as is i was wondering if the addition of the snorkle would improve throttle response at all. Have any of you guys with this piece noticed any improvements?

When I use to have a Spoon snorkel, I definitely felt a response difference at speed, even as low as 40mph. The difference was apparent as well on the freeways. Don't expect to feel anything at low speeds. As for any gains, I only felt it much better at night when the air is cooler.

It should also help prevent heatsoak on those hot days in slower moving traffic.

Yeah, that's pretty much true. You can feel a little more passing power at higher speeds, and better throttle response. Plus your car will not heatsoak very much, I ran it in FL in the summer (90-100 degrees) and had very little heat soak issues in stop-and-go traffic.

I had an AEM V2, and did I gain horsepower? My butt dyno says so, but who knows?

I did, however, feel an increased throttle response (like stated above)

I have the spoon filter, and snorkle

The stock airbox has a chamber that drains the water, so even if water did climb up your snorkle, it would make it's way out. When I use to have a snorkle, I would drive my car in heavy rain without any problems.

Spoon snorkle works best if you gut the oem airbox and get a spoon filter.
