Type One is the name of Spoon Sports' garage.

Type One and Type One Racing (T1R) are 2 different companies.

T1R is part of AJ-Racing. AJ-Racing specs out their product then have it manufactured in Japan.

Anyone here try AJR's T1R coilovers? How do these ride compared to stock? Is handling improved? I'm not talking about street handling either, I want to use these coilovers at the track, but still want to drive home in a cushy and comfy vehicle.

AJ-Racing and Spoon collaborate on some of their projects though, right? I thought I've seen Ichishima-san in some pics with the AJR guys.

T1R products are our home brand and it has nothing to do with type One Japan.
The ride quality of the T1R suspension is very GOOD. Most of the members who had them don't post so it is hard for me to comment cuz you guys might think I am advertising my product. Ro_Ja Boy & learnerspermit are running them so PM them and they will give you their personal feedback.

I have driven them at the track, they are valved more to the street side (specifically developed for daily driver & sometimes track usuage). At full soft, the ride is more cormfy that stock and when you dial it up, it is a whole lot stiffer. It has 4 way adjustable in dampering (it is not a lot) but the tunability range, you can feel every click you dialed.

We do have close relation with Ichishima and he did offered us a lot of advice in producing and spec our products.

Why didn't you use you Bmax coilovers instead of the Crux J's coilovers on the time attack car?
