your best choice, would be to leave the stock suspension alone until you can afford coilovers.

I agree. The stock setup is already very good. Buy putting on aftermarket springs, it affects the factory damper's performance. But if you must get springs the Eibach Pro Kit and the KGMM springs are popular choices. I know that the Eibach kit is progressive, I don't know about KGMM.
I agree that the stock is more than enough but I still ended up wanting to modify it.
I found the Swift Mach springs were just right. They have been specially tuned for the right amount of turn in and over steer and. Plus the ride is almost stock. I believe these lower the car least.
I have even put on the swift sways but they really make the car tail happy but oh so sweet the return when you counter.....so now I will try it with the swift front only and put back on the OEM rear sway.
