Stroker kits
I think stroker kit is reliable aslong it is mated with the right components. I have to look in to the toda stroker 2.4 liter.
I'm also keeping an eye out for the comptech 2.4 liter stroker also.
Oh btw, when you go on www.todaracing.com. It doesn't state anything about the 2.4 liter stroker. I want to know if this is for AP1 or AP2 or compactable for both application?

it all depends on the stoke lengh, TODA kit is a copy of the AP2, same bore and same stroke.
I am not that technical on this.

Stroke length for any 2.2ltr stroker kit should be same IMO. The rod angle and rod strength + some others which need to be addressed to rev safely to 9K

you can get a 2.1L just boring the cylinder walls to 89 mm, keeping the stock stroke
What I meant is that since stroker kits do just increase the stroke (hense the name) any 2.2ltr kit will have the same stroke.
When increasing just the bore, it will probably called a big bore kit.
or is it Borer kit

I just checked and it seems that all the toda kits are purely stroker kits and retaining the stock bore size of 87mm..
Alaniz kit is increasing both stroke and bore to get to 2.2ltr.
This means that the stroke length is not that drastically increased unlike others making this kit more safe. (Less piston velocity)
Stock 2.0ltr stroke is 87mm
Alaniz 2.2ltr stroke is 88.5mm
Toda 2.2ltr stroke is 90.7mm
Toda 2.4ltr stroke is 100mm

Does anyone have the 2.4 toda kit? retail on the engine? specs?
yes the toda 2.4 liter stroker is a 87mm bore, so there for no new sleeves is require. I also e-mail todaracing, and they state their forged piston are ment to work with the stock s2k FRM sleeves. The crank is custom buillet crankshaft.
Also they will be avilable in one CR ratio which will be 12.1:1. This kit look promising without worrying about blowing the motor.
