Default Stroker Kits

I keep going back and forth between BRP's SC and a stroker kit, such as the one from BC. A huge selling point for the stroker kit would be the ability to run the stock ecu. I know I probably would miss out on some power, but it would nice to just buy the kit and go. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I have a small feeling it is but just wanted to make sure...

What's BC? But, here's my answer, sure you can run the stock ECU on a stroker kit. But you'll have a blown engine in a very short amount of time. So not only will you miss out on "some" power. You'll miss out on your car too, while it's in the shop getting a new/rebuilt engine. What would be the point of getting a stroker kit, if you don't want to do it properly? By increasing the displacement you are going to need more fuel, the stock ECU by itself won't suffice. You could use a piggyback ECU like the Greddy Emanage Ultimate with some success probably.

Yeah that's probably the nicest answer you could get -- or go ask the question in the FI section
