hmm interesting, i wonder what the dyno would be if they used same parts, just removed the cams.... could it be the i/h/e thats making the power and not the cams?

To be honest the dyno graph looks too much like the stock curve. Before I beleive any gains I want to see a dyno sheet provided buy someone else testing them.

For all of you who are sceptic, there is a simple formula.

Claimed gains/ 4 = real world gains!

Simple.

Let's see some independently verified numbers for the Skunk cams before and after.

Personally, I wouldn't want cast cams in my engine.

Hytech's products are superior in every way.

As the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for'. What does a new engine cost when things go wrong...we recently had some aftermarket cams fail on a race car and shear a valve.

would be nice if did they a before and after with just the cams. no way to tell what the cams actually did by themselves if they dyno it along with the exhaust and test pipe which could probably have the same outcome without cams

just wondering why this is in the jdm forum?

Everyone talks about these hytech cams and how good they are but does anyone have any PRIVATE dynos of them gaining power?

They Hytech cams were dynoed and tested at an independent shop over a period of several months. I was also personally present when Adam baselined his car, and I have zero affiliation to Hytech.

I am not saying the Skunk cams don't make power, but if they want to independently test and verify as Hytech has done, it would make the specific gains from each individual component easier to believe.

The reason this is in here is because we do not have a N/A forum. As said before I would be willing to sponsor the forum.

Not doubting it, I was just curious if all the talk about the cams actually had some fact behind them or if it was just blind "if its JDM, it must be good" crap.

Any dyno charts?

I saw the charts somewhere earlier today, can't remember where, I think Adam posted them up. They are the real deal, just like John and Hytech.
