Default Time to upgrade

So far my list consists of:

AEM V2 intake
Megan Racing header, or Berks
Test pipe
Invidia V3, or HKS Hi-Power

I plan to also tune the setup.

What should I use to tune?

All suggestions welcome!

I am also considering the new Invidia header. A claim of 10whp and 12wtq are really nice!

Never trust claims...see the aftermarket header thread to see real gains. AEM V2 has risks of hydrolock if you drive in rain or through large puddles...if you install one, learn how to avoid a bent rod.

Pecking order for tuning: vafc<greddy emanage ultimate<aem ems

Pecking order also same for price. The EMS is a replacement tunable ecu...the others are piggy back.

Find locals with the exhaust you are considering and ride in their car. Some have more drone than others. The Invidia is pretty notorious for drone.

I plan on going with the Emanage ULT, as I will upgrade to forced induction down the road. (vortech)

The aftermarket header discussion doesn't list any dynos for the Megan or the Invidia.

I agree with the companies dynos. I am interested in the Megan test pipe because of the resonator. Hopefully it will help with the drone of the Invidia. What are the sizes of the Invidia and Megan test pipes?

I plan to build the shield around the filter to deflect the water. I am going to be in Hawaii, it does rain quite a bit sometimes.

My second choice is the K&N FIPK

1. K&N FIPK
2. Hytech header
3. Invidia 70mm single
4. AT LEAST emanage ultimate

If you're going forced induction in the future, why not get the AEM EMS now? You can't tune a turbo setup with an emanage unless you don't mind having a bunch of hassles. AEM is the way to go. Basically, an emanage is limited to tuning for intake, TB, header, exhaust, and maybe mild cams. Anything above that needs a standalone for both maximum HP gains and reliability.

if you want to get the most power out of your bolt ons, you should go with a 70mm single exhaust.
i say:
berk header
t1r 70r single exhaust with the 70mm testpipe.
KN fipk. or kn filter with aut d cooling plate.

as for tuning. vafc neo or emanage ulti

I don't like the look of the single exhaust, and I have a feeling it is going to be even louder than the duals.

What size is the Megan racing test pipe with the resanator?

I either want the new Invidia, or the Berk header.

What test pipes are 70mm?

Invidia's Claims are not going to be the outcome you get on the dyno, you might get 10hp and 12lbs. ft. from all the mods you listed, but not just from a header.

My suggestion is to get the test pipe and exhaust, and start saving for the turbo kit/parts so you dont waste money on parts you wont need when boosted (intake/header). Why would you want to waste the money on an Intake and Header when they wont sell for hardly anything used?
