sup once again!? well i finally got my ap2 tuned... aem cai, dc headers, spoon throttle body, and fujitsubo cat back exhaust...
got the tune from jotech with the apexi neo. 211.2whp 150.2 ft lbs. torque...
some ppl are saying i should of hit higher numbers..??
kenny tran tuned it so i dont know... will a cat del pipe make any difference??
thanx for the help
Do you have a dyno sheet?
Dynos should be used as tuning instruments, not as peak number finders. There are so many different variables with dynos that you should not compare graph to graph with different dynos.
What you should be concerned with is making sure your air/fuel ratio is set correctly, and how usable your power is. Look at the area under the curve, not just the peak numbers. When I had my car dynoed we sacrificed top end power for more midrange, because that's where the power was most usable.

the graph shows its making power all the way through the rpm scale, juss more in the mid range then anywhere else. ill try to load it on here later haha im stuck using the shops computer right now.
That sounds right for a S2000 NA tune. There really isn't much to be gained in the top end. Yeah 212whp is a tad soft, but the header and exhaust you've got aren't really known to make gobs of power either.
Most S2000 NA tunes are geared for flatter and broader torque cruves and more midrange power since there's usually more usable power to be gained in this RPM range.

i am scared to install my header for this reason. Sounds right on the dyno (more mid range will not result in max hp #'s , but will be a faster car.) so what i am asking is : if i install the header ,test pipe and cat back exhaust it should be a faster car no matter what ?

Did you ever get a base line before your started modding? For all you know your car could have been under powered from the factory and what you've just done may be an actual improvement.

It also depends on what type of Dyno that you were running on.
On the Mustang Dyno (aka Heartbreaker), I hit 201 HP and 141 TQ
Thats on an ap2 with a toda header, t1r 70r, k&n fipk and a vafc2.
I deff noticed the increased throttle response tho. I gained about 20 hp up top with these mods. It was also tuned midsummer...
