Find a tuner and use the system he is most comfortable with and recommends.
Or be prepaired for issues that come along with using a tuning device and not having a capable tuner (Oh and don't try and tune things by yourself ). Lots of poeple bring there cars to shops complaining that its not running right after they have installed or tried to tune things like VAFC or AFC and that is just not a good idea if you dont know what your doing.

eManage all the way. I had mine tuned by Giles of Holyroller Dyno (he came down to Atlanta to tune us S2kAtlanta guys) and it feels like a different car.

Definitely look into the eManage
Emanager or Emanager ultimate??

Cheapest bang for buck = VAFC $300 + $100-150 to tune + optional harness $175
5700 rpm vtec and a 13.8:1 a/f yeilded 7-8whp on my car and a ton midrange where vtec kicked in too late, some have seen 10-12whp.

Next up is Emanage Ultimate- timing has been known to free up as many ponies as tuning the a/f ratio. People claiming 10-15ft lbs of tq and 20-30hp
EMU goes for $500 + $200 harness + $300 tune. I am here, waiting on my harness from boomslang and I finally found a bada$$ tuner, this guy has a 350 all whp 1.8T audi 90, he designed the cams and tuned it himself. Also the guy that originally imported Dyno Dynamics, as in the first guy to sell them in the US. He's a badass rofl, Oh he also just tuned THE(this is no BS) Worlds Most powerful 350Z, making 1016whp on a Dyno Dynamics(of course). Sorry I'm excited he's tuning my car rofl.

Next up from there (that is if you live in CA) IMO would be an HKS Fcon Is
about$500-600 comes with a harness then $300 to tune it. It does the same thing an EMU does but quality is a little nicer. Around here you cant get anyone to tune it so I went for EMU.

Haltech makes a piggy back style ecu that will work on the S2K but no one is currently using it as far as I know. Haltech makes pretty good stuff and can be bought through vishnu tuning. Its called the interceptor. I could get these for $550 if I could get a 50 man buyin.

Next is AEM EMS- $1000 for the unit, then a tune probably another $1000. HP Gains for an NA car is about the same as the EMU(correct me if I'm wrong) With the possibility of a little more torque in certain areas of the rpm's.

Then you have HKS Fcon Vpro $2000 + $1000 tune this is official baller status, once again you better live in CA to get it tuned cuz east coast is desperate for an HKS tuner, maybe in Chicago but they are mostly Skylines.

Autronic is a fairly nice unit I have heard of a few issues with customer support but for the most part these are great units and can be had for around $1k.

Magnetti Morrelli F1 Standalone company, I've heard good things and bad, problem I've seen is that people try and put them into street cars and the system just was not designed for the street. Race only.

Thats my $.02

Hondata is good from what I've seen, only seen rsx's with them, its just a stock ecu thats been opened up for tuning, much like what j's racing did, @ $2k there are better things out there. IMO
