Default What Started Out as a thread about ITB's...

ended up as someone saying a s2000 with gears can run 12 second quarter miles with slicks

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1734859&page=2

i dont really think that could be since an EXCELLENT s2000 driver nets around 13.8. i refuse to believe a pair of slicks and 4.77 gears can net you -.9 seconds. anyones opinions on this?

The best I've seen reported here is about a 13.6, stock. 4.77s "could" knock off another 0.5 and although "slicks" might take you past the 13.0 (at sea level, on the right kind of track conditions), the owner may be looking at some busted parts after a run or two.
Nevertheless, the guy is likely talking without really thinking and should probably put a fresh needle on his hit stick.
