Falaly: He is getting the shipment at the end of this month and said it should be shipping out at the end of next. He will ship them out wether or not additional people join group buy, which is why im wondering how much longer it will be open for... And yes i am in contact with him, almost once a week.

Yes you can get it in carbon fiber but its around 250 and theres no group buy for it.
Yes, you can paint it yourself but i would suggest getting it done at a body shop as it is hard to find a matching color, but try it yourself first if you like the result keep it and if you dont you can still take it to a shop. I dont think it would cost you more than 100 to get it painted. I would try to find a paintstore to fill a spray can with matching color code and have it be high gloss if they can.
Its a nice experience and think you should do it at one point or another...
