WI - PWJDM Dry Carbon / Kevlar Intake BNIB
Password:JDM Dry Carbon Kevlar Air Induction Kit 00-08 S2000 - This is the more expensive version with the carbon and kevlar weave - $1200 on PWJDM's site
Brand new, In box - Was taken out to test fitment and start the installation. After getting the main section of the air filter chamber mounted and fitting the snorkel, I realized that for a track car, this piece is not ideal for several reasons. It is a beautiful piece if you have never seen it in person. Additionally, most will agree that it offers the greatest gains of any intake on the market. Kit includes all hardware as provided by password JDM, plus some additional rubber washers that another member recommended to use during install to prevent vibration noises.
First Name: Steve
Price: $900 (Willing to ship)
Location: City, State: New Berlin, WI

First, you have to remove the hood prop and either stow it in the trunk or buy hydraulic hood dampers. A lot of people already have them or would like to get them anyway so that's not that big of a deal but for me, it was an extra expense I didn't want at the time and grabbing the prop from the trunk when I pop the hood after every track session is not ideal. 2nd, I would have had to relocate my catch can and some other lines as this intake is massive, bigger than the stock box. Additionally, if anything goes wrong at the track and I need to rip shit apart, I would have to carefully remove the intake to get at anything. In the end, this was the biggest issue for me. It is a beautiful piece that if you have to remove and reinstall a bunch of times in a hurry, you will inevitably mar it up. For a street car that isn't constantly being worked on, this intake is awesome. For me, at the track, not so much. I'm sure I am forgetting some other smaller pain points I thought of at the time, but that's the gist of it.

An intake can never really MAKE power. It can only restrict power or in the case of an aftermarket solution, hopefully, it unrestricts power. But yes, there is data out there that shows this is one of, if not the best, performing intake system for an S2000. Just search around on these forums a bit.

The clearance is very tight. In the instructions, they describe how to install it so it clears. Others on the forums here state they had to modify the hood. I never made it that far into the install to say if it could be done without modifying.
