That's why I HAD to make VIR. We aren't planning on quitting though. I'll get a job and we'll return, just don't know when.

[QUOTE=Budman05,Oct 15 2009, 06:03 PM] Skip,
IIRC you had a link to a TT classification Excel spreadsheet.

The base classes are listed in the rules. AP1's are TTD** at 2850, AP2's are TTC at 2850. Each * =7 points, meaning if you have an AP1, you have to move up to TTC when you use your 6th point. Make sense? Is that what you were looking for?

Now that I think about it, you have an AP2 right? So you can't be in TTD regardless. It also means that you have 19 points to play with before you'd have to move up to TTB.

I take that back...you could run in TTD, but there's only one way to do it. Because your base class is C, your base tire size is 255. You'd have to run a street tire with a UTQG treadwear rating of greater than 131, not to include the RA1 or NT555II, so that you take no tire compound points. And, if you used 245 as your largest size(-10mm from your base size), you'd get a 1 point credit. Which would put you into D. At least that's the way I understand the rules. If you seriously want to consider something like that, email Jon Felton and be sure it's right.

If I am looking at 7 points for the TT scale, where would I come in? I can't seem to locate the base care ratings.

If I could run TTD, I may have some fun.
Lou - we'd have fun in TTC. I'm strongly considering the TT route for next year. It looks like a real hassle to try and run in TTD in a S.

You could with your only mod being RA-1's in 245. Lou has to run in TTC or faster.

I believe you are correct. One would, however, not be competitive... at all.

Better count me out. We've got an expected, but large budget addition coming this year. I don't know when I might be able to get back out there.
Congrats to you, Matt and Meredith!!
