First heat got a raw deal. Second heat seemed alright....or at least as you much as you could hope. Third heat was awesome...warmest part of the day, sun out, and small run group. Fourth was much like the third, but it was starting to cool down again. The window from probably the second runs of the 2nd heat through 4th heat was all relatively similar, though. 4th heat didn't get off the grid and run until almost 3:45.

Ahh, but then you'd get spanked buy everybody in B-Stock with their $$$ Hoosiers. That's why I've still never run with SCCA. No real cheap way to be competitive, and if I'm anything, it's cheap

Cheap guy here too. What group do you run with? Do they have a truly stock class?

I run mostly with CDC (capital driving club). They tend to have shorter courses than SCCA, since they can only book smaller venues, but there are usually ~10 mostly stock S2k's on street tires at their events, which is fun.

Though now that I think of it, I have no idea what mods those guys have. CDC people: What are your mods, if any? I'm bone stock, except for my roll bar.

I will say that the competition probably isn't nearly as tight as SCCA. Just a guess though, since I still haven't been to an SCCA event.

This is my ridiculously crappy attemp to mesh Noel's run and mine. I couldn't get the split screen plug in to work on Movie Maker. Best I could do is sync them up in PIP. Through the first ~15s we are pretty much dead even....

If you click it and increase the screen size it isn't too bad....

It was a long & fast course. I had decent grip in some areas of the lot, but I definitely left a lot of time out there.
TrumpetTitan- You should stay in STR if you are running street tires; BS cars are faster than STR if they are running Hoosier etc...

The variable pavement at Fedex is always a problem. I had tons of grip on the old asphalt, but the second I hit the sealed stuff the tires just let go. My car is hard enough to keep pointed in the right direction on a high grip surface. We probably had more spins on Sunday than the last 3-4 scca events last year.
