2011 MD/NOVA Auto-X Thread
Lol. Not in NJ. It was wet for the first :45 and then completely dry. We worked first and third and drove second and fourth. It was 100% dry and about 71 degrees out.
Placed 8th in PAX. Sway bar full stiff. Tire blankets for first 5 runs, no blankets for last 4. Best run was #7. I Placed just behind Eric Simmons (7th), so I consider it a great success.

It was bad enough that Anthony, even after spending an hour and thirty mins driving down, just packed up and left before he was supposed to run. I thought about it as well...just stuck it out. The sun poked through just as I was packing up and leaving. It rained the whole way home...except for the first five minutes of the drive back to Frederick.
It was warm in NJ. I just got what you were saying as I got our of the car in PA home to get gas. It was abuout 20 degrees colder just in 1.5 hours away from north jersey. And raining like crazy on the way home.
But it was worth the great event. ironic that the temps were colder in MD than NJ.
See you in Hershey. I will post videos sometime soon - just to rub it in. Have a nice week!

Apparently Canaan Valley and Snowshoe have gotten about 4" of snow today.....
.
It's just really cold over the middle....middle atlantic. It was just a raw day out, man. With the wind blowing...there was no way to stay dry...which caused you to freeze all the more quickly.

Here is NJ. Just realized that I finished between Simmons and Ridgick. Not bad

This was my best run yesterday...not so surprising that it was the one where I used the gas the least. Luckily the rain had stopped by the time we ran, but the damage was done (too wet and cold). I know I would have been quicker had I switched to hoosiers, but lost motivation to change them throughout the day. If you are wondering why I kind of wiggle it going into second...two reasons...first is a tired syncro. Second, is a bit of a timing mechanism....since I found the hp...the rpms kind of hang for a split second after I get off the throttle. I would rather have that than being 30whp down. Headers go on Friday. Hoosiers getting flipped Weds evening. Should be ready for AI on Sunday.
