SATurday October 29th Halloween Autocross ($5 discount if you wear a costume and $10 discount for second slot)

Harry Grove Stadium, Frederick, MD is the location of the Halloween autocross on SATURDAY October 29th. We will also have a Test and Tune SUNDAY October 30th.

Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accommodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute.

The event fee for the Saturday autocross is now $30 for members and $40 for non-members at this event. ($5 discount if you wear a costume)

New Bar Codes

Make sure you download the new bar codes for 2011 (some of the early barcodes in early 2010 won't work. So if you want to use last year's barcodes, make sure it is the same format as the new barcodes).

If you have problems, you can e-mail me at capitaldriving@yahoo.com or we can also print barcodes for you at the event.

$10 Discount on Second Slot for Saturday October 29th at Harry Grove

For anyone paying for a second slot, the second slot will be $10 off. So if you are a member the second slot for a member will only be $20. If the second slot is for a non-member the cost will be $30 (rather than $40).

The second slot can also be used the same driver (e.g. they would drive in two heats) or for a guest.

To sign up for a second slot:

1. Make a second reservation (for you or the guest)
2. Type "Second Slot" in the Notes Section (if it is for a guest, state your name - e.g. second slot guest of John Doe). You must type "Second Slot." Otherwise, we may think you mistakenly submitted duplicate reservations.

-Several people used the second slot for a guest (some that never autocrossed with CDC)
-Many participants used the second slot to get 12 runs
-Some used the second slot to be a point autocross in the 6 morning runs (since only the first 6 counted for points) then treated the afternoon as a TNT by trading cars with other two slot participants

This offer is only extended for the Saturday event (not the other day) at Harry Grove on October 29th, 2011. So if you are a member wearing a costume AND get a second slot the total cost for 12 runs is only $45 ($30 + $20 - $5).

SUNday October 30th Test and Tune Day (No discount for costume, but feel free to wear one anyway! Also no discount for second slot)

These Sunday Test and Tune Events will be held the day after the Saturday Harry Grove Stadium Autocrosses in Frederick , MD. The Test and Tune event will be an informal autocross using the same/similar course as the day before. The differences are the following:

1.Field is limited to 40 participants with about 5 organizers (for a total of 45 vehicles).
2.Times will be announced and recorded on the timesheet, but no results, no points, and no indexes will be posted –This is only for fun
3.No extra runs if we miss a time – This is only for fun
4.The format will be 2 heats with 5 morning and afternoon runs (number of runs in the afternoon will depend on time and weather conditions. We hope to give 9 to 11 runs).
5.No food or drinks will be provided – We need to keep the amount of equipment to a minimum. So plan on either bringing drinks and food or going out to lunch.
6.Event is open to members and their guests only, since the event is so limited in size.
7.The entry fee is $35 per member, $45 for non-members.

All 40 slots will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

On-line Reservation System

Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time. Open reservations for non-members for this event begin Friday October 21st.

New Members

We will be accepting new members at this event. If you plan to join the club at this event, you may make a reservation at this time by doing the following:

1. Use "0" as the member number (a permanent number will be assigned to you after you join and you will get a temporary number for this event)
2. TYPE "I will be joining the club at this event" in the NOTES section when making you reservation.

The annual membership is $30 and is good for 12 months from the date you join.

If you have any questions, let me know at capitaldriving@yahoo.com.

Fun course today. Jeff Jacobs really had a strong run in the late heat. Ran in the mid-high 57's in GS. He was second in PAX. I think all the STR cars got bumped out of the Top 10 in pax, but Brian may have held on.

Hey guys, I'm new to the S2000 but have been autox-ing with CDC here and there for a few years now (used to plow around in a dark blue TSX). I'm signed up for the Oct29th autox in Frederick and can't wait to get out there and embarrass myself since this is my first manual and rwd car. Too bad it doesn't look like any of you are going, since there are no S2ks on the roster, which is surprising since there's usually a good turnout from you guys. What's goin on?

Welcome to the club.... My season was over in september after the cdc event in woodbridge. Old tires and a new house being the leading factors to not coming out to any more cdc events this year. I don't know if we have met but I'll be sure to holler at you next year. Which s2k are you driving? (year, color, etc.)

Brian Burdette Co-drove with me in the Z yesterday. He almost raw timed Jr in his ASP Vette! I was .8 behind him....still some work to do. It wasn't my best effort, but I wouldn't have caught Brian had I got it as right as I could. Hoosiers are now pretty much corded on the shoulders from stretching them on big wheels. Check engine light also came on, on the way home. Probably the end of my year. It was a good season. Looking forward to next year.

I may show up for that one, still working out plans for that weekend. I'll definitely be at the last CDC event of the season though
