I have a set of AP2V1 wheels that would be great for the track. Nice and beat up already with lots of curbing. $350. Comes with completely worn out tires, one pre-punched with a screw.

Anyone?

I don't think we've ever made any transactions before. I think you are getting me confused with someone else lol.

Yes, I must have you confused with someone else. LOL Apologies. Got a speeding ticket right after delivering to a guy on the way to Ohio to sell my S.

They're track wheels. No bends/never repaired. Paint is chipped.

Really considering them. I'd probably just get them powdercoated. Where are you located?

Painted not powder coated. The heating process in powder coating can ruin a forged wheel.

Hmm I thought I heard something about that actually...just didn't know if that was a myth or not. I learned a lot when painting my stock wheels but I'd be scared to paint Volks lol...

This build is just ridiculous: http://www.modified.com/projectcars/...-friction.html

I guess it's for Unlimited Class. Ridiculous. Quaife sequential gearbox. ATS LSD. Puddy Mud rear end. NASCAR Performance Friction brake calipers. New Borg Warner model turbo. Full widebody. 18x10 +12 wheels. When this thing gets done it will probably be quick as hell if it holds up. The good thing, is putting things in perspective it makes my mods look INEXPENSIVE so I don't feel as bad spending the money!

255/40-17 NT01Rs on order. Working on the wheels. Has anyone had previous dealings with Kami Speed? They are a S2KI sponsor and have a good deal on the S2K specific APR GTC-200 wing, but I am always leery of the "minor" sponsors.

I am signed up for July NASA VIR. Hope to see some of you there. Will be pitting with the Honda Challenge guys.

Lou, no direct experience with them, but given my recent experience with a more prominent S2ki sponsor, (happy to explain in person or email) I would place zero priority on any sponsorship of anything. Better to pay a few $ more to get service and reliability. My 2cents.

Powdercoating can also hide cracks. That would be really bad.

FTR, the matte black ones were painted by me. I blasted them, sprayed them with engine paint, and baked them in the oven before they ever saw action. They held up extremely well. Track wheels do not equal show wheels. LOL
