I've run HPSes on the the track, and wouldn't recommend it. They just can't handle the heat and you will end up braking really early because you won't be able to trust them.
Yeah, but you have to take into consideration that you run twice as fast as most of us.

This is true, but I suspect others will say the same thing.

I don't mind changing pads for track days, but if I could use the same rotors that would be nice.

Just run CT track pads and you can run CT street pads (like bobcat or Ax6) with no problems using the same rotor.

Cool name. Most people can probably guess where is that from.

In that case let me share my own experienced. Last year and the year before I switched around between CT pads and OEM pads on the same OEM rotors.

One Heyperdrive at VIR, two SP Main, one Shenandoah track days and couple of autocrosses. I did not have any rotor or brakes issue but I drive my S less on the street last year. And also I'm a slow driver so it may have worked for me but may work differently for you.

Hey hey all, first time posting in track junkies me thinks, BUT

I was wondering what y'all thought about clutches as far as a "DD" but getting into an avid AutoX'er and eventually track. I only want to get one clutch in the next few years so i want to do it right even though I'll be keeping the S as a DD for a few more years with only AutoX. Down the road it will be a Track/ Weekend Warrior car.

My options right now are:
Science of Speed Sport Clutch
Centerforce Dual Friction
ACT

anyothers you would want to suggest.

Right now my clutch is like 95% gone.. its very stiff and pretty much on or off.
Because i'll be keeping this car NA and hopefully pursuing an STI to solve my boost itch, i don't need a very high torque holding clutch.. i can't afford a new diff right now haha

PS i did a search, read reviews... all i want are some opinions really... i like hearing opinions to hear from people i've met in person or have talked with online... simply searching and reading only gives me so much honestly.
