I may end up breaking down and buying a roll bar, but not for a while. In the meantime, If there's an event that doesn't need one, that'd be awesome. As a track n00b I'd be way too cautious to flip it over (hopefully)
At last report, NCCAR did not require aftermarket rollbars for convertibles.

If you do get into HPDE etc. installing a rollbar would be a good idea, but IMO spending $1,000 and ripping out half your interior is a rather dissuasive barrier to entry.

That's how I feel about it as well.

I'm looking for any track event that I can run without a roll bar. I really don't like the way roll bars look.

*braces for flood of roll bar salesmen and advocates*
I don't like the way decapitated people look.

There are still 20 ways you can end up upside down. This argument will not get you very far with an Instructor.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but if you don't want to mess up your car, which we all understand, track a different car. Don't compromise your and your instructors safety.

I figured it would offer the most rigidness (sounds ebonic), an i can keep my glove box if i want, I do plan on ditching the stock hoops an all the rest of the plastics once i get the Roll Bar

an i'm kinda partial to the way it looks, i duno why?

Now that being said, if you guys that have them an have any inside information your willing to share w/ me an recommendation before I actually purchase one, I'm all ears, an open to suggestions. You guys are the experts so learn me something....... lol
