Great course. Christ I need to do something about the balance of this car. I was scared to death of the turn at the top right of the lot... afraid of sliding into the jersey barriers.
I will admit the looseness of the stock susp/square setup was handy in the zig-zag section at the start though.

Thanks Mike. It felt quite good. I think what happened was that in the past I had stiffened the front without problem, but then when I went to the Gendron rear sway it softened the rear to the point that the car was too tight. Having come from a BMW I am comfortable with that, but it is not as fast. So I softened the front (the amount was suggested by Jon C when I queried him) and my suspicion was confirmed that my car was too tight when Brian drove it at Cumberland. Brian was going to have me adjust camber and toe and some other things, so he was right that the car was pushy, but my guess was right on the front bar, and Jon C assisted with the proper degree.
This is all part of the learning process. There will certainly be courses that need stiffer in the front, but I will be learning which courses they are and how to adjust with time. Now the question will naturally be "is the car any faster on a course like last Sunday's if I went even softer in the front
I will guess no, since it was nice in the slalom and only hinting that it might be loose if I were stupid with throttle.. But who knows?? That's what fun runs are for and comparing cars.
You, of course, were also right when you said "soften everything up" Mike..
So the tuning and fiddling continues to get a refined car for every type of course and surface.
Will revisit RS3 land when it gets in the mid 80s to see if they prove faster in the hot temps. So far they are about 0.7 slower from what I can tell from my back to back testing on a 60 second course in NJ.

Mike, I'm planning on a lot of autocrossing on Friday. Gonna get there by 9am. Probably leave Thursday afternoon/evening. Stopping through Frederick if you need a hand with anything. I have my parents in North Jersey so I'm not limited to hotels as much.
By the way: just finished my last exam for the semester -- I'm free!!!!!

I stopped by Karcepts to drop of the tow straps, and it sounds like Brian plans to do a lot of runs on Friday as well. I think I will only do 2 or 3 runs. I'd like to do more, but the hoos I have mounted are getting towards the end of their competitive life. I don't want to put on sticker hoosiers until Devens. I think I will leave Frederick around 8-9am on Fri.
