Good point Jason. Btw ILuvKetchup is Clyde, he is from the NYC area.

Now I am in a somber mood...I just watched the ESPN documentary on Senna. It's sad that he didn't look like he was enjoying himself the entire weekend before his death. I am surprised Rubes Barrichello did not get seriously injured in his crash.

It's a decent little track and definitely worth a try. The final turn before the front straight is very challenging. It's a decreasing radius uphill that needs to be taken while braking hard to turn a quick lap. My best lap was a 0:58.something.

fun little (~1 mile) circuit to spend a day on. Turn 4 is an interesting double apex turn, 95% of people slow down too much for T5 and T7 will challenge you with a VERY late and blind apex (slightly uphill entry).

Jefferson is an interesting track. Apparently Bill Scott put all the hardest types of turns for him on it. It was the first track I ever drove and honestly didnt like it when ran in the normal direction. In the reverse direction, I found it to be more fun. After coming back to it about 8 years later as an instructor, it was a lot more fun. My student struggled in the exact same places i did, like the turn Rob describes above. That one is tough to get right. Lots of spins there. Watch the big rock on the inside of the track around corner exit. if you spin there you may hit it.

If your choice is VIR or Jefferson, there is no comparison. VIR

We lost a fellow track guy and Gentleman racer Pete Crosby this week after a long fight with cancer. Some of you probably know Pete (and his friend Eddie) since they started doing HPDEs with NASA ~5-6 years ago. Pete (a Mustang guy), eventually ended up racing a FR500S Mustang in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge and he could be seen in that car at NASA Mid-A HPDE and TTs. Pete was a very nice, humble guy and I will miss him. Please add him (and his family and friends) to your thoughts and prayers. The track will be a little less friendly without him there in person although I am sure he will be watching over us in spirit.

God's speed Pete Crosby.

Yep, that was him. He usually ran in TTR. I never met him but spent a lot of time running TT with him. RIP Pete.
